Originally trained as a landscape architect, I am an artist, surface pattern designer, and lover of all things outdoors. Berkeley CA is home and I absolutely love that I also have a beautiful family on the other side of the world in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
My artistic practice celebrates the beauty in the little details of life. I will come back to this time and again: there is always a reason to be grateful. It is contagious thinking that I encourage you to incline your mind toward. Showing up to each stroke of a paint brush, the first cut into a farmers market tomato, or a walk around the neighborhood to intentionally notice with gratitude and awe continually surprises me: the details, the feelings, textures, colors, hidden gems, and personality. Taking time to mindfully observe will never stop bringing me joy and inspiring detailed artistic expression.
Feelings, moments, and shared experiences are powerful. I am passionate about celebrating those moments and giving voice to things I care about. Illustration and surface pattern design are my way of sharing those moments and their meaning with the world.
